This story needs to be passed along. The woman, an Iraq military veteran, saves the comrade. The comrade, now recovered but disabled, visits the woman (now returned with an injury/Purple Heart herself) months later who saved him. They fall in love and the rest is history. You can read "the rest of the story (I'm Paul Harvey now)" here.

I am the Realtor® that makes things move in The Lane Real Estate Team, while my husband Joe is the dude that provides the marketing that gives me the great clients I have. My sole purpose in life is to serve God, family, and clients. Joe's sole purpose in life is to serve God, me, and family (and ski). We have five children, all at home, all ours. We've been happily married for 23 years, and Joe has forgotten the anniversary almost all of those years! We service the Tri Cities Washington real estate market to include Kennewick, Richland, and Pasco, Washington. Oh, our Pasco Wa Riverfront Home is for sale!

Wow Joe, that does sound like quite the story. It is good to be back on ActiveRain. I took a good six month break, but I am back and refreshed. Looking forward to staying in touch on ActiveRain.
Thanks for stopping by Ryan. Yup, what are the odds of marrying the woman who saves you during a wartime effort!
What a great story. Hearing of wonderful circumstances like these never gets old.
Thanks Tony and Libby. Especially remarkable considering women are not allowed to be in battle!
What a great story! These are the stories that we should be hearing more about. Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful story - appreciate you sharing it here on Active Couples!
Awesome! What a blessing this is for Zach and Amy, and to think they'll finally celebrate their honeymoon - amazing love-story. Those babies are too cute.
