" New-home sales ticked up 4.1 percent over the prior month during August, according to the latest data from the Commerce Department. That's right. No need to clean your glasses off -- home sales increased in what has been a slumping housing market."
Isn't this great news! Seems like forever and a day we've heard nothing but bad news about our industry. Perhaps we're seeing a glimmer of hope, a sunshine on the horizon, and finally the forest through the trees! :o)

Yeah! It is always good to have good industry news in the media. Let's hope the sales contiue to hold up.
Long time overdue.....let's see where this ends. I'm hopeful.
In our market we've haven't felt the effect of the country's housing crisis, however, there is no way our market will sustain a extended national crisis. So, I'm (as we all are) this housing mess is starting to turn around.
Great News and the today show said there are 5 cities which prices actually went up! I think that after the election things will have a chance again!
@Ginny,
I hope you are right Ginny. However, apparently there are LIVs out voting. I wonder how this phenomenon will effect our future.
