  • 28% of people check Facebook before they get out of bed!
  • 25% of all Internet page views are Facebook and 10% of all Internet usage is Facebook.
  • 4 out of 5 emails are spam! Text and FB message are taking over.
  • Need 4 things: Hyperlocal blog, Buyer website to capture buyers, Seller website to promote self (testimonials, etc), and a Niche website (river homes, patio homes, etc., only).
  • YouTube - Epic and Honest Mobile Home Commercial http://ow.ly/5lYKA (just plain funny and good).
  • VisiStat has heat mapping (where your visitors move on your webpage) and tracks visitors to include (but not limited to) their ip address cross referenced to their business address. However, Sitemeter does heat mapping for free.
  • Free easy form maker: Wufoo
  • Goal: For every 100 leads, 2-3 convert now, 2-3 convert 6-12 months, and another 1-2 convert between 12-24 months. In other words, out of 100 leads, shoot for 8 leads to convert to closed transactions.
  • When doing paid advertising, consider Bing, not just Google.
  • 4 Paid search tangibles: Small target groups (narrow the focus), Small daily budgets, Strong offers, and last, Variety of platforms (Bing, YouTube, etc.).

Colleen--the stats are pretty amazing.  I watch my nieces and nephews with Facebook and iPhones and they are changing the world we market in.  Until they get raincamp in Hawaii I am delighted to get it via osmosis.  Thanks.

It was interesting to learn that texting and Facebook status updates are replacing email. Thanks for sharing your notes!

Coleen -- Thank you for sharing what happened at Raincamp. It's and overwhelming amount of information presented, but such a worthy event to attend.

Colleen, I'm growing more and more jealous.  Wish I had made the trip up to Seattle, which happens to be one of my favorite places.  August can't come soon enough!

Hi Colleen,

VERY useful post.

Your fingers must have been flying!

Thanks. It is easy to forget a lot of this, even just a few days later
