Do Not Call My Cell Phone

This is very important news for all to read.  We are already getting unwanted sales calls on our cell phones.  Can you imagine how that number will increase with our cell numbers now made public?

Via Wende Schoof ~ Wende by the Bay (Keller Williams Realty Menlo Park, CA):

Did you know that Cell Phone Numbers Go Public this month and that telemarketing companies will now be able to get all those numbers for  sales calls, too?  Nothing wrong with a little cold calling, right?  What if it costs you to receive that call?  Because you will be charged unless you have unlimited calling, since it's your cell phone.

To avoid those annoying and possibly expensive calls, call the  National DO NOT CALL List from your cell phone.  888-382-1222.
I just did it, and it took under 60 seconds. You have to call from the phone number you want to have blocked. It blocks your number for five (5) years.

It is an important reminder and you have to renew your do not call every 5 years.   The problem is when you use your cell for business and have it on the internet, the people claim to have permission to call you.

Colleen:

I had my number blocked about 1 year ago.  Perhaps there is some convenience to this.

There is no way to stop this. I just get rid of them as fast as I can. Why they call is a surprise as I see this as a poor way to secure business. But it must work or they wouldn't do it.

Colleen,

Regrettably this rumor continues to persist.

I get this sort of email three of four time a year and have for the past 6 -7 years.  It IS a good thing to put ALL your phone numbers on the Do Not Call list if you don't wish to be bothered, but below are a couple of links to what the truth actually is, which is, this is a false statement and rumour:
