Do you realize that this year the State of the Union Address may fall on Groundhog Day? Think of the irony... One event involves people looking to a minimally intelligent creature, with a demonstrated propensity for being wrong, as he prognosticates about the future; with some of those people actually making life plans based on what they learn from that creature. The other event involves a groundhog.

We've become Authorized Bodybugg® Wholesalers. I know this blog entry might not be real estate related, but it is, really! As real estate agents weight gain is an issue, as most of what we do requires sitting. Whether driving clients around or working at our desk, there are not many calories being spent and consequently fat accumulates. Enter Bodybugg. As seen on the NBC's Biggest Loser, Bodybugg is a device worn out of sight on the upper arm. Calories are measured to the tenth of a calorie every minute. The Bodybugg device is then connected to your computer and the data uploaded to Bodybugg's website. There you'll not only see what calories you've been burning, but you also can input the calories you are consuming. The goal each day is to have a deficit of calories. Each pound of fat is approximately 3500 calories, so if you have a calorie deficit of 500 calories per day, you'll lose a pound each week!

Coupled with the Bodybugg Digital Display, or the BodybuggSP (android, iphone, etc.) you can get a real time display of the calories being burned. So, to reach your calorie goals, sometimes a simple thing like taking the stairs or going for a short walk can make all the difference in a day's weight goals. Joe has lost 25 pounds using the Bodybugg and uses the Bodybugg Version 3 because it syncs with the Bodybugg Digital Display.

The video is a lot like our real estate day, isn't it? We can wake up on any given morning and look at what's in store for the day and by day's end there is no resemblance of the routine we pictured just hours earlier. For instance, haven't we had those kinds of days where we are looking at writing up 2-3 offers, but by evening the offers were never written and a few homes ya had in escrow fell out! Just like the video, what appears to be our day is entirely different at the end of the day.
